Welcome to My Digital Scrapbook Blog!

I never thought I’d make a blog, but I decided to make part of my physical scrapbooks digital by putting many of my memories online. I did this partly so then I can access them anywhere as long as I have access to the internet where I wouldn’t have to bring my scrapbooks along, but also so I can easily add updates to them as it is easier and quicker to make updates to them on a computer device than in my actual scrapbooks. Also, adding everything that I have attached to this blog would have taken even more time and money if I would have added the items to my physical scrapbooks.

I got the idea for making scrapbooks from an I Love Lucy scrapbook I bought from Sam’s Club in 2004. I thought it was so cool because it wasn’t just pictures with some labeling, but it had writing from the different people involved in the show, newspaper clippings, letters that were written, copies of different important documents, like passports or articles written on about the famous couple etc. Stuff could be taken out that made it interactive; so making it more 3D than just 2D. I thought it was very interesting and different, so I have followed how that scrapbook was designed in some way with my own scrapbooks.

I have made my physical scrapbooks to be partly a journal, but mostly just the first several books because it took so long to add everything; I later just added memorabilia to the later scrapbooks with not as much writing.

Because I’m a very nostalgic person, I then thought about other memories that I had, but more materialistic memories, and I didn’t want to add all of my old stuff that I used to own or want in my books, so that is when I decided to add a digital part to my scrapbooks that would include different memories than what my physical scrapbooks have. Most of my digital memories can be found on my Blogger profile, but I have also included and attached other public websites to this page as well that I have public profile pages on too underneath my online scrapbook name title. Just FYI, the links to my different scrapbook sites can only be seen and clicked on when viewing this webpage in desktop mode.

I haven’t written much about my different memories on the digital part of my scrapbooks just because it would take a long time to add all the details, and I found from my first several scrapbooks that I don’t go back to read them very often, so it would be almost a waste of time adding a lot of detail to the digital part of my scrapbooks.

Everything that I have put in my blog here and have attached to my blog are things that I directly relate to. One could say this is like an extension from my physical scrapbooks. While my scrapbooks explain and go through my actual life history, the online part of my scrapbooks go through things that I used to collect, save, wanted, played with or used, and watched or listened to; it’s the materialistic part of my history, and I include future items that I would like to have or collect too; it's the nostalgic interests that I had growing up, but also with some more recent interests that I have now.

But not everything is about some product or entertainment. I also include memories of companies that I used to, as well as currently have affiliations/accounts with, food recipes, and a collection of quotes that I have collected in the past and will continue collecting as I come upon more.

This blog really is just for me, and is like the homepage for the different public profiles that I have online (if you can't tell already, I'm a very organized person), but I certainly don’t mind sharing my memories as I’ve come to realize that I have many of the same likes, dislikes, interests, and memories as many others when I’ve done some searches and came upon many other websites with similar ideas in mind in sharing similar memories. I am sharing my own memories for myself to be able to access anywhere, but also because maybe someone else might find it interesting or helpful too, like others have been interesting and helpful to me.

Feel free to leave any comments sharing with me any similar interests, memories, likes, dislikes etc.

Thanks for stopping by!
